TERRA Ninety Design System

Overview

Ninety.io is embarking on a new era as a company. One of the challenges was to develop a design system. The design system is branded as “Terra Design System”, cementing its identity among the larger suite of Ninety products and opening the door towards going public in the future.

Alongside my boss, Lead Product Designer - Alex Savchuk, and the larger Product Team, we started to create a design system from inception. Previously, we were using Material Angular UI for our design system.

Atomic Design

The design system is built upon the methodology of Atomic Design. Our design system is categorized by Atoms, Molecules, and Organisms. The goal was to have our app integrate seamlessly with our larger parent brand. This didn’t just mean a visual facelift, but fully living up to our “everyone, working as one” motto.
